U.S. Open Whiskey Championship
Moylan’s Distillery of Petaluma, California, has once again dominated the prestigious U.S. Open Whiskey Championship, capturing the Grand National Champion’s Trophy for a record-breaking fourth time.
The distillery took home an impressive eight medals in total, including four gold medals in some of the competition’s most competitive whiskey categories. Their standout expression, Moylan’s American Whisky Port Finished, was a clear favorite among the judges and played a key role in securing the top honor.
This historic victory marks Moylan’s as the first brewery or distillery to win the Grand National Champion’s Cup four times in the U.S. Open’s 18-year history, cementing its reputation as one of America’s premier whiskey producers.
SpringWater Spirits of Brooksville, Florida, earned the runner-up position in the whiskey championship with two gold medals, and added another gold medal for their rum in the spirits competition.
Rounding out the top three in the whiskey championship was Nearest Green Distillery, producers of Uncle Nearest Whiskey, which collected three silver medals and three bronze medals.

In a historic first for the U.S. Open Spirits Championship, Silver Fox Distillery has claimed the prestigious Grand National Champion’s Cup in the spirits division for the third time. No other distillery has ever achieved the podium twice in the competition’s history, making this accomplishment an unprecedented milestone in the spirits industry.
Silver Fox Distillery further cemented its dominance in the spirits division, earning two gold medals and two silver medals. Gervasi Spirits claimed second place with gold medals for their gin and rum, while Alaskan Distilling rounded out the top three with gold medals for their canned cocktails.
