Fort Worth’s very own Blackland Distillery invites all libation fans to “wake up and smell the spirits” with the upcoming release of its latest expression, Texpresso Whiskey. This 70-proof flavored whiskey, infused with coffee, brown sugar, and pecan flavors, will be available for purchase on March 23rd; a date that also so happens to be Blackland’s 5th anniversary.
In honor of both of these occasions, bottles of Texpresso Whiskey will be available for presale exclusively at Blackland’s award-winning tasting room at 2616 Weisenberger Street in Fort Worth’s Foundry District. This celebration/product launch will take place from 2 – 6 p.m. In addition to the exclusive presale of this new libation, guests will also enjoy a distillery “open house,” complimentary spirits tastings, wood-fired pizza, raffle items, specialty barrel-aged cocktails, and a DJ.
The new Texpresso Whiskey is the next offering in the distillery’s cannon of flavor expressions, that include its best-selling Texas Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon, released in 2020. Due to the latter bourbon’s overwhelming success, Blackland created this new expression to continue making a name for itself in the flavored whiskey category, according to a release.
Coming in at 35% alcohol-by-volume, Texpresso can be savored on its own or combined with other spirits to create a unique two-ingredient drink with a kick. Bottles of this new flavored whiskey will be available for purchase before hitting any store shelves this Spring at the aforementioned event above.
Texpresso Whiskey will be available to the masses online for direct-to-door shipping to 40 plus states across the U.S. starting on April 1.
Since 2019, Blackland Distillery has been creating vibrant new tastes that span its line of spirits that include Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Texas Brown Sugar Pecan Bourbon, and Prairie Gold Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Founded by lawyer-turned-chef-turned-distiller Markus Kypreos, this local 12,000-square-foot distillery offers a full-service, upscale cocktail lounge and tasting room, which is open-to-the-public Tuesdays through Saturdays. Behind the scenes, Blackland touts a fully automated bottling line, cutting-edge production floor, two barrel rooms, and a VIP room.
But DFW isn’t the only area where connoisseurs of whiskey can find this new spirit. Bottles of this local modern spirit brand can be found at liquor stores across Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Washington State, and the U.K.
